Welcome to the Bowie Hockey Club Website.
Bowie Hockey Club (established in 1971) has been providing quality hockey instruction for nearly 50 years. The club provides a wide range of programs, from instructional hockey for the very beginner to competitive travel teams.
Our recreational teams compete in the CCHL, travel teams play in the the CBHL, and our top teams also play in the EJEPL, a league made up of teams from the east coast and also other areas of the country. The club also runs a spring hockey program to keep skills sharp for tryouts.

It is with great pride that I introduce Lori Jones as Bowie Hockey Club President. The Board of Directors unanimously voted for Lori to succeed Joe Loschiavo in the position and we are confident in her ability to lead the Club in the right direction.
Lori Jones has dedicated countless hours over the past five years to our Club and our members. Throughout the years, Lori has taken on many tasks to ensure that our members receive quality attention both on and off the ice.
Her first year as a board member, Lori was appointed Director of Sponsorship. She quickly morphed this position into a focus on membership growth and retention and was appointed Director of New Parent and Player Outreach the following year. In this position, Mrs. Jones connected with new families and continued to build solid relationships with our valued, loyal members. Lori worked closely with the VP of Rec, assisting with allocating teams, jersey orders, and other administrative duties. Additionally, she assumed administrative control over the BHC Future Bruins Instructional Program in addition to the Washington Capitals’ Learn to Play Program. Despite subsequently taking on new roles at the Club, Lori continues to spearhead both of these programs. She has a deep-seeded belief that our Club will grow from the foundational programs outward and continues her focus on retention and program growth. Under her command, this program has grown exponentially over the past five years and we continue to enjoy a steady flow of enthusiastic players into our Club. In her role as the Instructional/Learn to Play Coordinator, Lori is the first name and face that the parents and players registered in this program get to know. The Instructional/Learn to Play participants love Miss Lori and their parents are, indeed, thankful for her guidance through the initial practices.
After two years as Director of New Parent and Player Outreach, Lori Jones was overwhelmingly elected Vice President of Recreational Hockey in March. In this position, Lori was responsible for all rec teams, U10 through U18. In May, she and Joe Loschiavo took on the duties of the VP of Travel position as well. In addition, she runs the BHC Mite House League. Through her personal outreach and retention objectives, this program has grown year-over-year and she continues to brainstorm ways to improve the program for the registered players. Though her impeccable attention to detail and perpetual energy, the BHC is able to host multiple Mite Jamborees each season, with the Jingle Jamboree being everyone's favorite.
As if this isn't enough, Lori somehow finds the time to coordinate BHC's Spring Hockey Program, our Rising Squirt Program with Coach Derek, and the Rising Bantam Program. She also writes our Crerar Grant request each year, administers BHC's USA Hockey 2-by-2 Challenge, and coordinates both Try Hockey for Free Days for the Club.
It goes without saying, Bowie Hockey Club is grateful for Lori's dedication to our players and families. The Board looks forward to working with her to achieve our common goals.
As members, it is important that you know each of the Board members by name and face, especially the President. If you have not formally met Lori, she is nearly always at the rink; please take a moment to introduce yourself to her. Additionally, come to a Board Meeting to get to know her and the rest of the Board of Directors.
Thank you, Lori, for your boundless loyalty and energy. I can say with conviction that BHC is in good hands.
